Bold, Colorful...& Always a Story

Vibrant, high-energy abstract paintings fill my studio. I enjoy focusing on colorful abstract landscapes that bring the outdoors in, but in a bold and dynamic way. That boldness is also conveyed in the mark-making and layering techniques throughout my work.

While I mainly paint in acrylics, I also like to experiment with inks, watercolor, linocut, and collage. I often start from a photograph; I find myself relentlessly looking for light and shadow, engaging compositions, and reinterpretations of the scenes before me as a springboard for my next painting.

At the core of what I paint, there is always a story. I’ve always been a storyteller and painting is another way for me to express that. In my paintings, I like to leave room for you to find your own story and also a spark of inspiration.
