That breath of winter air that catches in your throat—still, sharp, and utterly serene. Inspired by a quiet walk through Alum Spring Park, a blanket of snow softens the ground, catching the sudden, unexpected warmth of pinks and deep blues weaving through the tree line. Blue Drifter captures that solitary wonder of wandering into the woods right when the light turns, where the chill recedes and the forest feels like a world kept entirely secret for you.

It's hard not to be inspired by nature. I'm always looking for that next scene to paint, noticing how a place makes me feel, looking at light and shadow, taking photos, and capturing that feeling on the canvas. And, of course, always seeing everything in full, vibrant color.
