Watching a lively gaggle of Canada geese make themselves at home in a bustling city park in northern Virginia sparked Spruce Goose. Thick, layered textures bring the grassy banks and deep blue waters to life, dotted with vivid pink blossoms alongside the daily rush of urban life. It is an affectionate tribute to the resilient wild neighbors who share our crowded spaces—reminding us how nature carves out room for calm even in the heart of the city.

It's hard not to be inspired by nature. I'm always looking for that next scene to paint, noticing how a place makes me feel, looking at light and shadow, taking photos, and capturing that feeling on the canvas. And, of course, always seeing everything in full, vibrant color.
