A lone, heavy tree anchors the foreground overlooking the bare soil turned up for winter. In the distance, an old farmhouse sits quiet against the horizon, tucked behind the long ridges of plowed earth. Days Go By holds that deep, steady calm of winter, when the land goes silent and waits out the cold.

It's hard not to be inspired by nature. I'm always looking for that next scene to paint, noticing how a place makes me feel, looking at light and shadow, taking photos, and capturing that feeling on the canvas. And, of course, always seeing everything in full, vibrant color.
