In the Grand Scheme of Things is all about that huge, playful sweep of open country where the landscape just rolls on for miles inspired by a roadside view somewhere out in the Pennsylvania countryside. Trees cast bold turquoise shadows, golden grasses blow in the breeze, and pops of magenta tulips dot the foreground. Vibrant pinks, purples, and blues weave their way through the hills in the form of trees and open fields. Dotted across the distance, little clusters of trees lead your eye all the way out to a lone white house sitting way out in the middle of nowhere. It’s got that easy, daydreamy feeling of looking across a big horizon where nature stretches out so far it makes everything else feel wonderfully small.

It's hard not to be inspired by nature. I'm always looking for that next scene to paint, noticing how a place makes me feel, looking at light and shadow, taking photos, and capturing that feeling on the canvas. And, of course, always seeing everything in full, vibrant color.
