Inspired by Hurkamp Park in downtown Fredericksburg right at peak bloom, Tuliphoria is all about that moment when the flower beds totally steal the show. Bright, punchy tulips pop against a dark backdrop up front, leading into a whole ribbon of color that winds up the path toward the brick buildings nearby. It captures that simple, feel-good rhythm of a sunny afternoon outdoors, where nature does all the heavy lifting and all you have to do is take it in.

It's hard not to be inspired by nature. I'm always looking for that next scene to paint, noticing how a place makes me feel, looking at light and shadow, taking photos, and capturing that feeling on the canvas. And, of course, always seeing everything in full, vibrant color.
